Background
Bred at the University of Guelph and managed by Vineland, this early-season cherry produces medium-large, kidney-shaped fruit with a mahogany-black skin, firm black-red flesh, and an excellent sweet flavour. It offers excellent resistance to brown rot, moderate resistance to bacterial canker and rain-induced cracking, and grows on a productive, spreading tree that is precocious in its fruiting habit.
