This project supports the conservation and long-term success of Butternut and Kentucky coffee tree in Ontario by developing evidence-based guidance for sourcing, planting, and post-planting management.
The initiative will also establish best practices for Butternut propagation and nursery production, helping growers, nurseries, and land stewards improve establishment, survival, and the availability of these valuable native tree species across the landscape.
