Vineland’s Journey
Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, as we know it today, was established in 2007 after a thoughtful review of its long history, the changing horticultural landscape, and the future needs of its stakeholders. Built as an independent, not-for-profit organization, Vineland was created to be a world-class centre for horticultural science and innovation—and that mission continues to guide us today.
Vineland works closely with industry, academia, and government to turn research into real-world results. Vineland’s goal is to deliver innovations that help growers and businesses thrive, while advancing the entire horticulture industry. With a global outlook and deep Canadian roots, Vineland is focused on creating lasting value for our partners and communities, here and around the world.
Vineland is funded in part by the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), a federal-provincial-territorial initiative.
