Vineland's primary stakeholders are the horticulture industry. Our broader stakeholder community includes academia, governmental agencies, the general public, the scientific community, Vineland's Board and Advisory Committees.
Vineland's partnership model demands research and communications synergies with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the University of Guelph. Vineland also aims to build a strong union with regional government in achieving mutual goals for local agriculture and agri-food prosperity.
With respect to industry, Vineland's collaboration involves research partnership agreements and working relationships with several associations including the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers' Association, Ontario Tender Fruit Growers, Ontario Apple Growers, Ontario Fresh Grape Growers' Marketing Board, Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers, Ontario Processing Vegetable Growers, Fresh Vegetable Growers of Ontario, Flowers Canada (Ontario), Canadian Nursery Landscape Association and Landscape Ontario. Vineland also partners and seeks input from stakeholders in processing, packing, retail and food service.
Vineland's Stakeholder Advisory Council and Science Advisory Council address sector-specific opportunities and the quality of knowledge transfer.
